MOON MALA

Moon Mala is an easy hiking destination with a spectacular view. It is an ideal hill top to enjoy sun set. Views of hill tops dipped in mist and mist emerging from valleys will give a heavenly feel. Advised time for all trekking is non-rainy season as rocks can be slippery. Beware of leeches in monsoon season.

 
 

LAKE VIEW - BOATING

The tea lake is one of the most famous places to visit in Vagamon. The lake is better known for boating in the midst of the beautiful tea plantation and green grass meadow hills, mellow calm winds that blows brings serenity and a remarkable experience on Vagamon town. MOTTAKKUNNU

Thangal para

Thangal Para is a pilgrimage destination for Muslims because resting place (Durgah) of Sufi saint Husrath Sheikh Fariduddin Baba is located here. Thangal Para is located in Thangal Hill, Vagamon. Kurisumala Church & Ashram

Kurisumala is a popular Christian pilgrimage centre. It is flocked by followers from various part of the country, especially during the Good Friday week. Kurisumala Ashram is a Cistercian Monastery in Syro-Malankara Catholic Church in the Sahya Mountains in Kerala, India. A Belgian monk Francis Acharya is the founder of this ashram.

Known locally as “Eagle Rock”, Parunthumpara View Point is one of the most dramatic and awe-inspiring viewpoints in the Vagamon–Peermade region. The name Parunthumpara literally means “Rock of the Eagle” — and true to its name, this rocky cliff gives visitors a soaring bird’s-eye view of endless green hills, deep valleys, and winding roads that disappear into the mist.

 

Palozhukum para

Palozhukum para means, the rock which flows milk and the name itself suggests the beauty. This amazing water falls flowing through 9 steps, attracts a lot of tourists. This water falls is visible from the main road itself. It is also known as Shivaganga waterfalls.
